Course Overview
Structured, comprehensive theoretical ground school training designed to prepare cadet pilots to clear the DGCA CPL exams and WPC Radio Telephony (RTR-Aero) voice tests.
Eligibility Criteria
10+2 / HSC passed or equivalent with passing marks in Physics and Mathematics. Minimum 17 years old. DGCA Class II medical fitness certificate.
Curriculum Modules
- Weather Conditions & Forecasting: winds, pressure variations, cloud formations, and precipitants
- Interpretation of weather charts, Terminal Aerodrome Forecasts (TAF), and METAR reports
- Flight Planning & Computers: dead reckoning calculations using CR-3 flight computers
- Radio Navigation Aids: VOR, ILS, DME, GPS tracking, and cockpit flight instruments
- ICAO Conventions & Air Law: rules of the air, national aviation regulations, airspace guidelines
- Air Traffic Control (ATC) communication protocols and flight operations management
- Aircraft Systems: aerodynamics, piston/gas turbine engines, propellers, electrical networks
- Airframe Structure: structural limits, weight and balance control, and flight systems
- Radio Telephony (RTR-Aero) WPC voice test preparation, voice drills, and mock ATC dialogues
